Instituting composting at a big special event like the AZA conference was a complex task that involved many hands and cooperation across departments. Schmelly’s provided invaluable customer service that allowed us the make sure we had tight systems in place for every step of the process, from selecting the right compostable serviceware to thinking through day-of logistics.

Between the helpful guidance from Schmelly’s staff and having all hands on deck within our internal teams, we successfully diverted over 2.5 tons of waste from the landfill. This was a big sustainability victory for our organization this year!
